EDUCATE YOUR COMMUNITY.

Budget Explainers

Budget processes can be arcane, complex, and difficult to explain to communities.

But having an educated community during budgeting is vital: to grow support for robust public schools and to overcome the deficit in civic education in many communities.

Animating this process breaks down complex topics and provides information in an accessible way.

NEWMARKET SCHOOL DISTRICT

Newmarket, N.H.

Newmarket juggled several complicated budget topics by building them out in shorter "pillar videos." This example is four, two-minute pillars compiled into a "Supercut" video. The district released each pillar separately in an informational series leading up to their school district meeting, then displayed the Supercut at the meeting to inform their community before it considered their warrant articles.
