Accessibility

Never an afterthought,

accessible by default

kartoonEDU works with public institutions, which means accessibility isn’t optional — and we don’t treat it that way.

Every deliverable we produce is built to meet:

  • Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act — the federal accessibility standard for agencies and the vendors who work with them

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the technical standard our content is built to meet, including captions, transcripts, and readable design

  • ADA Title II requirements for state and local government digital content

What this means in practice:

  • Captions and transcripts on every video

  • Alt text and readable design on every visual asset

  • Content built to work with screen readers and assistive technology from the first draft — not retrofitted later
