## Accessible by default,

### never an afterthought

kartoonEDU works with public institutions, which means accessibility isn’t optional — and we don’t treat it that way.

Every deliverable we produce is built to meet:

- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act — the federal accessibility standard for agencies and the vendors who work with them
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the technical standard our content is built to meet, including captions, transcripts, and readable design
- ADA Title II requirements for state and local government digital content

What this means in practice:

- Captions and transcripts on every video
- Alt text and readable design on every visual asset
- Content built to work with screen readers and assistive technology from the first draft — not retrofitted later
